Even IF I didn’t have a single item in my house of resident evil , even if I only drew whats popular I need you and every other person on this site to know that its 100% ok to draw whats popular as long as it makes you happy in some way. Some people have bills to pay and make their living drawing popular art, some people just want validation which is okay- or they make their “brand” doing whatever the latest craze happens to be, and there’s nothing wrong with that. At the end of the day art is what you make of it , and it doesn’t have to be deep and soul crushing, it can be cute or funny or childish lmao go away. I’ve painted multi-thousand dollar altar pieces for churches, have published works and been in galleries, have multiple awards and im working on my masters in comic art, but my favorite thing to draw is stupid memey shit and what I love. I dont even consider myself a part of a fandom I just like what i like.
You sound like the kind of person that gets upset when people go “oh i’ve only seen the marvel movies I haven’t read the comics” or try to gate keep someone for not knowing the difference between ganon and ganondorf…. like go away. aNYWAYS; that being said, I actually probably have more RE shit than you my dude- I can even ask my dad to find the home video from SEVENTEEN years ago where I’m playing RE2 when i was nine , (a video where I also happen to be dancing around to clint eastwood, saying they’re my favorite band just “by the way”) I fucking love capcom, perhaps even more than Nintendo, honestly Zelda is the only near and dear nintendo thing to my heart (aside from princess peach).
